Chelsea host Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday as Frank Lampard goes in search of his first home win in the Premier League as Blues’ manager.

Chelsea have lost 1 and drawn 2 of their 3 home league matches this season but will be confident of picking up a victory against a struggling Brighton side.

The Seagulls are without a win in their last 5 league matches, with their only victory coming on the opening day of the season against Watford.

Brighton have since drawn 3 and lost 2 and Stamford Bridge is not an easy place to go when you’re in desperate need of a win.

The season started in promising style for new boss Graham Potter but Brighton have kept just one clean sheet in their last 5 games and have struggled to score goals too.

In fact, since the opening day, Brighton have managed a measly 2 goals in 5 league matches.

Despite having 72% possession and 16 shots, they could only manage a goalless draw against fellow strugglers Newcastle last time out.

On the other hand, only Liverpool and Manchester City have scored more top-flight goals than Chelsea this term.

The Blues have scored in all but one of their league games so far, notably putting 3 past Norwich and 5 past Wolves.

However, Lampard’s main concern will be at the other end of the pitch. Chelsea are yet to keep a clean sheet in all competitions this season and have conceded more than one goal on six occasions (including Super Cup and Champions League matches).

If Lampard can find the right balance between defence and attack then Chelsea should begin to pick up some momentum.

Tammy Abraham has started the season in red-hot form, scoring 7 goals in 6 top-flight appearances while causing opposition defences all kinds of problems.

Chelsea have won their last 10 matches against Brighton and the Seagull’s sole victory in this fixture came all the way back in 1933.

The Blues have also recorded a 3-0 and a 4-0 victory against Brighton within the last two years.

Chelsea’s domination of this fixture looks set to continue on Saturday, but their poor defensive record means that Brighton could well got on the scoresheet.

Forebet predicts that Frank Lampard will pick up his first league win as manager at Stamford Bridge but not without Brighton scoring.
