The final group game of Euro 2024 over in Group F sees Portugal and Georgia battle it out where the probability of a spot in the knockout rounds for Georgia seems unlikely. Forebet has looked at the latest trends, data and analysis for this game.

The mathematics for Georgia have not looked good for this Euro 2024 campaign. They have faced an array of shots so far and let in four goals too. Georgia started the tournament by losing 3-1 to Turkey.

Ardu Guler scored one of the goals of the tournament that day with a stunning second half finish that retook the lead for Turkey, but it was Mert Muludur who netted the opening goal that gave Turkey an initial advantage.

Georges Mikautadze was once again amongst the goals for Georgia in that fixture, as he scored in the first half to equalise.

However, with another Turkey goal through Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu, in the end, Georgia lost 3-1 and faced 22 shots with eight of them hitting the target.

A 1-1 draw with Czechia came soon after, where once more, Mikautadze scored with a finish from the penalty spot late on in the first half.

This was, however, just the first shot and only shot on target for Georgia in that match from a total of five efforts.

Worse yet for Georgia, they managed to take the lead that day and once again saw Khvicha Kvaratskhelia be relatively ineffective for his country.

This all now means Georgia will need to win this fixture, as a loss definitely sends them home, while a draw would not be enough either, given the goals difference tallies of other countries out there who are sitting in a race for the best third-placed finishes.

As for Portugal, they headed into this tournament after an excellent run of form throughout the qualifying stage that saw them keep a clean sheet in all of their games bar one and score the most amount of goals.

They’ve carried on this excellent form with two wins out of two so far, as they recently beat Czechia 2-1 with a late finish from Francisco Conceição.

An own goal was the other effort for Portugal that day, but another own goal and a finish each from Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes saw them ease past Turkey in a 3-0 win as well.

Forebet now predicts a win for Portugal and under 2.5 goals.
