Spain are looking to match their National League triumph with another win in the Euro 2024 qualifiers as the 2008 and 2012 Euro winners have lost and won one so far ahead of a trip to the Adjarabet Arena to meet with Georgia.

The three-time European Championship winners were stunned by Scotland in their last match, as a brace from Manchester United’s Scott McTominay handed the Scots their first win over Spain since 1984.

Such a result puts Scotland top of the table with a stunning record of four wins from four games, while Spain now sit nine points adrift of them having played two games less.

Those two games in hand come as a result of winning the Nations League for the first time, as the Spanish played out a semi-finals battle back in June while other qualifiers were going on, as Yeremy Pino scored after three minutes before a winner two minutes from time from Joselu against Italy.

A lacklustre 0-0 draw would force penalties in the final against Croatia, but a shootout win for the Spaniards handed them their fourth major title in the past 15 after winning the Euros twice and conquering the World Cup.

Elsewhere in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Dani Olmo scored in a 3-0 win over Norway, as Joselu continued his excellent goalscoring form with two more late goals coming in the final seven minutes of regular time at home.

Spain are without some regulars for these international fixtures, as Jesus Navas and Nacho Fernandez miss out from defence.

Robert Sanchez is also not with the squad which likely forces Unai Simon into goal.

Pedri is out injured too with Bryan Gil and Gerard Moreno, while Ferran Torres has not made the cut, despite scoring 15 goals in 35 Spain caps.

As for Georgia, all attention turns towards their star man, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is already on course to become the country's all-time top scorer with 10 goals from 22 matches.

The Napoli star remains with the squad this time round and will lead the attack with Georges Mikautadze.

Georgia are also without regulars in this squad, as Otar Kakabadze in defence has not made the cut, while Valeri Qazaishvili isn't deemed good enough these days, despite being the nation’s fourth leading scorer of all time.

Georgia have also lost 2-0 to Scotland at these qualifiers, but they did manage to beat Cyprus with a goal each from Mikautadze and Zuriko Davitashvili.

Forebet predicts a win for Spain and under 2.5 goals.
